I had no insurance I had no money to pay and I told this man this from the very first day he did the surgery and he had me come back for follow-up appointments. I told him I don’t have no money I cannot pay you he said, don’t worry about you come anyways, apparently there is lack of communication between the doctor and his billing staff because I was billed for all the appointments I attended, and then it was turned over to a collection agency. I have Medicare I drive disability now because of the surgery that I had done on me and I wanted to finish what me and him started and I can pay with Medicare now but thanks to his billing staff I can’t because unless I pay all that back money, I can’t see him I just wanna go back to work I don’t wanna be on disability he don’t pay the bills and the damn sure don’t put no food on the table but now I gotta go out and search for somebody that I will feel comfortable with to finish the work that needs to be done. Kind of hard to pay that back money when you can’t get a job because of your condition Dr. Danny Wheat is an excellent surgeon. Awesome words can’t describe how I feel about this man as far as his staff is concerned, they trash straight up. I go in there and fire every damn one of them and start over but that’s just me damn shame when a man’s word ain’t no good no more.

Dr.Wheat himself is wonderful, as well as his nurse. However, the office personnel is about as rude, lazy, and unprofessional as they come!! Leave several messages, no call back for days. Have an issue with ins. Authorization, they want you to call v.a., call her, call v.a, call her...flipping ridiculous to play middle man instead of her just calling and saying what she supposedly needs. Waits till 30min. Before the 5th appointment to cancel it because she cant find the authorization to treat?!!! What a joke of a staff!!! I feel bad for Dr.Wheat, very sweet personality but have to be the boss though and not let stuff like this slide.

Had my appointment and we liked Dr Wheat. But they never called to let me know anything. I called several times and the receptionist always said they would call back. I even went to the office and they wouldn’t even open the window for me to talk to them. I had to talk thru the window. Then one day I called and she hung up on me. All of this was brought to Dr Wheats attention but he obviously did nothing. We thought it was just a rude staff but when the dr knows it and does nothing about it then it’s the Drs fault. I couldn’t recommend him at all. We have found another Dr.

Absolutely the worst place to go, besides the VA. It will be almost a year for me waiting to get receive my insoles. They won't check or do anything about it. Not one person does their job. Typical Healthcare of crooks, snakes, and unreliable people which is a normal for Abilene. Everytime I call, it's the same excuse, and then put me on hold until I hang up for waiting.

Always horrible customer service. Staff is so rude, his nurse is worse and they do not treat you like patients/clients/customers should be treated. Dr. Wheat is great, he just needs a new team.
