It’s always great to visit a doctor that isn’t trying to sell you treatments or medicine. I appreciated his straightforward approach and advice. The nursing staff were extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Wait time was minimal as well as the initial office visit. I would return to Dr. Duarte for future issues if it’s needed. Highly recommend. It appears that ppl either love or hate him (from word or mouth and these reviews) but I suggest you meet with him and decide yourself what you think of him. Again, I highly suggest him.

I went in to talk about my MRI, which I KNOW showed problems. Dr. Duarte sat down at the computerto look at my results and he kept nodding out jerking his head back up and opening his eyes-then stated oh everything looks great. I KNOW my MRI showed issues. I having to go out of town to seek help due to his disregard and unprofessionalism. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS DOCTOR!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! RUNN

Went in with complaints of migraines, unable to turn my neck, lift my arms and trouble with loss of feeling in my legs. Doctor barely listened to me during our visits. We did three epidurals in my neck and did a nerve test. When I told him the epidurals just made my pain worse and I was not going to continue with them because they were expensive, he wanted to burn the nerves in my neck to reduce my pain. I had no diagnoses and was still unsure if that was the right path to take. A week after I refused this treatment his nurse called me and wanted to set up the date to get my nerves burned. I was so upset. Why was I paying all this money and still had no answers and a doctor who was not listening to me. I did find a neurosurgeon in Houston who after one visit was able to find out what was wrong with me and one procedure later I was able to regain my quality of life. Please be careful when choosing your doctor. Just because we live in a small community does not mean we need to settle for subpar medical treatment.

Run fast, run far. I read the bad reviews and figured ok, can't be THAT bad and I know how to advocate for care. No. He is that bad and so is (most of) his office staff.

Dr. Duarte is VERY nice. That's the only good thing I can say.

Once checked in you'll wait an hour for a (literally, I timed it) 10 minute appointment (and that's when he's not on call!). If you want answers to questions, it's like pulling teeth. The ladies that check you in are nice, but the Nurse/MA that takes you to the room and does vitals seemed pissed about something every time we went in. The scribe sighed so many times while she was taking notes as the doctor spoke, I wanted to ask if she had a problem. Need a follow up after imaging or an injection? Forget about it.

I refuse to work this hard for my spouse to get care. This doc doesn't want patients, he wants a paycheck.

Had lower back surgery in summer of 2023. My L4 and L5 had been having pain in my back an down my leg couldn't get a Dr to even look at the issue. Finally he was willing to look. It was what I thought to be the light at the end of the tunnel. Well I was told I'd be able to get up next day and walk. I couldnt.he was very rude. An never got pain medication. Now being told I need 3 more MRIs if I need surgery again I won't be going back . I'm in more pain now than before surgery.
